We made it through the nite - it was hard for him to be away from his Mom. The next day after we walked, played and sat down for a movie he asked me in the most caring of voices, 'what was the best part of your day grandpa?"

The best part of my day, this day....reading, learning, sharing, and relearning via Bridge of Sighs.

Thanks for the link to Mr. Russo Bill. The man has awareness and the ability to express that so intimately that my own awareness of self feels like a BB on a bowling lane.

Corkey

Re: Texas Book Festival Post-Game Wrap-Up....

v-v-strong

Re: Texas Book Festival Post-Game Wrap-Up....

Solid gold!

(Ha ha...Sounds like you might have been making mounds and mounds of potato salad instead of cole slaw.)

Re: Texas Book Festival Post-Game Wrap-Up....

I remember that day. And this was back at NBC, when he was only doing four jokes in the monologue.
I remember because of the 78 he did exactly, wait for it, zero.
But I had a beauty the next day. It went something like, "Earlier today, Dan Quayle turned to his wife, Marilyn, and said, 'Is there an 'e' at the end of 'resume?'"

Re: Texas Book Festival Post-Game Wrap-Up....

From The Late Show Newsletter...

This Week In Dave History: "LS writer Bill Scheft writes 78 jokes the day Bill Clinton is elected this week in 1992, the most he's ever written in a day."

Outfuckingstanding, Marine!

;)

Re: Texas Book Festival Post-Game Wrap-Up....

Would it be too obvious to have Sam Perlozzo doing ASL?

Re: Texas Book Festival Post-Game Wrap-Up....

Hilarious.
I think the ASL folks flipped a coin.
